About Us

Aurora Vista Assisted Living was founded by Naima Muhammad, a certified RCFE Administrator with a bachelor’s degree in Healthcare Administration from California State University, Long Beach. Her path toward senior care was shaped not only by education and professional experience, but also by a deeply personal journey.

While completing her degree, Naima’s mother suffered a severe stroke and became completely dependent on others for care. Naima remained by her side and cared for her throughout the final two weeks of her life. Although the loss was heartbreaking, the experience gave Naima a new sense of purpose. It taught her that caring for another person is about more than meeting physical needs. It is about offering comfort, preserving dignity, and making sure someone feels safe and loved during their most vulnerable moments.

Naima went on to complete internships at Kaiser Permanente, where she gained experience in Human Resources attendance management and worked as a coordinator in the Care Without Delay department alongside physicians and nurses. She also spent more than a year in administrative roles at residential care facilities, gaining practical experience in resident care, staffing, family communication, and daily facility operations.

Inspired by her mother’s memory, Naima created Aurora Vista Assisted Living to provide the kind of loving and attentive environment she would have wanted for her own family. Her goal is to ensure that every resident is treated as a unique individual, every family feels heard and supported, and every act of care is delivered with patience, compassion, and respect. Aurora Vista is not simply a business to Naima. It is her calling and a heartfelt tribute to the mother who inspired it.
